Make Some Money

on .

This article is hopefully going to show you, in 4 steps, how to make a few quid.
You won't make a fortune, you may not even reach three figures, but anything is better than nothing, right?

1)  Ditch Ebay!

'Has he gone crazy?' I hear you ask. Yes I have, but that is besides the point.
Ebay costs you money. You pay to list an item (unless you take advantage of the many 'No Listing Fee' days).
On top of that, you also have Paypal fees.

2) Sell on Facebook

Everyone knows what Facebook is. Not everyone is on it.
However, selling your items on Facebook is free. Just search for 'For Sale in (my area) and there are many groups.
You don't pay to list, you don't pay when you have sold.
You can meet up with the person buying your item and if they then decide they don't like it then there is no problem.
If you are not on Facebook, you could always set up an account and just use it for selling items.
If you still don't want to be on Facebook, there are plenty of other places to sell such as Gumtree.

3) Take Payment Via Paypal

Yes, Paypal costs you money to receive money, but not if you take Paypal Gift payments.
So, if you sell on a Facebook group (or other excluding Ebay) and you really want money in advance, then ask for a gift payment. No fees involved.
I do believe, however, that by taking Gift payments you are not covered by the Paypal's payment protection.

4) Use Your Skills

Do you have a skill? Sign up to Fiverr. Basically, you offer a service for $5. This could be just about anything from writing an article to singing happy birthday to a stranger down the phone.
There are also great websites you can use to bid for work. Can you write articles? Do you know how to add products to websites? Any good at Data Entry in Excel? How about making a brochure in Word?
Have a look at People Per Hour for more details.

There are many more similar websites to those that I've covered but I have suggested these ones because of past experience.
